Great News, but any change Templates?

When going from 1.4.1 --> 1.4.2 and using the 'changed only files' can I just upload the changed files without running the install, or do I have to run the install again as well?

You should still run the install, just make sure to choose upgrade. It should bevery quick since the DB settings are already there and it only needs to run one simple query to update the version you're using.

If we were running ALS 4.1 prior to upgrading to PhPlinkBid 4.2, should we install ALS 4.1 again?

Yes, make sure to download the latest version of ALS and install it after the phplb update. If you had the latest ALS running previously, you only need to upload three files and don't need to run the installer:

- admin/links.php
- klib/class.kWebSearch.php
- klib/class.kPageRank.php

(The latest version of ALS is actually 1.4.1 - I know, all the versioning is a little confusing...)

Admin comes up okay though.

Could it be my site page url format wrong?
It is at present: %pg_safename%.html

And/or my page title format?
It is at present: %pg_title% - %site_name%

You are most likely missing the file /tpl/phplb/linkroll.tpl. If you're running a custom template you should switch to the default or another 1.4.x compatible template.

If you upgraded from 1.2 or previous version make sure you uploaded all files from the appropriate changed-files download, or used the full 1.4.2 download and uploaded all files to your server.

If you can't get this fixed contact support and we can help out.

Damn it wont work :(

I get this "phpLinkBid v1.4b2 was detected. Click Continue to upgrade to phpLinkBid v1.4.2 ."

Then it takes me to a blank page when I click continue :'(

I get the above error when clicking on the email mgr. I upgraded from 1.4.1 using the install process...:(

Well, I deleted everything and did a clean install of the upgraded version.
Did not work.
I have tried the default template, other templates, and nothing works.

So I deleted everything again and loaded up the old version (got to love backups!).

All everything works!

Will try the upgrade if and when it does work.

i just updated one of my phplb from 1.2 to 1.4,
the process is quite simple and easy,
and if you can add a option to switch on / off the linkroll at next version?
the template is not enough as well...

you know, the version 1.2 has total 5 different color templates,
but 1.4 is blue only...

Isabel is already 7 months old, it's hard to believe! She is everything to me. She gave us quite the scare this year but all is looking well and she is really a healthy kid. I'm lucky. :)

Yea, but its annoying that you posted to this thread. But please understand that Tekime is busy for a few days and everyone will have to wait. The more emails and complaints you send the longer it will take for him to get to solving everyones problems.

Good luck though, maybe ask some members in the bugs section???

I took at your sites in your sig and it looks like the css file is not loading. Please explain what you done in a new thread and maybe the community can help until Tekime is available.

it works, but still have to say that the support is very poor.
