phpLinkBid 1.6 Beta Release Beginning This WeekPosted 2009-10-13 in NewsIt's been quite a lot of work getting here, so it's very exciting to finally announce that we'll begin sending copies of phpLinkBid 1.6 beta to selected beta team members this week. This marks the beginning of a test period we hope to complete this month. This hasn't been the first post declaring the release but 1.6 is finally becoming a reality. Beta team members will be contacted individually based on our testing schedule this week. After initial testing we'll open the beta to our beta group before final release. If you already signed up there's no need to do it again, but make sure you have submitted a request here and have an up-to-date email on your account.

Hey, when is the funeral?
It’s obvious 1.6 is dead and after 4 month of waiting for at least 1 freaking update, I think we have our obligation to say RIP 1.6 Hoping to hear about funeral agreements soon :rolleyes::eek::rolleyes: fastreplies

Can this be considered as cheating?
or is there a better word - I am not a native English guy? How better can you explain the situation.

Cheating is probably not the word to use here. "Major disappointment" would be a good one.
Overall, phplinkbid has delivered a very stable product with 1.4 although it does have a couple bugs. I imagine tons of software and script companies never release new versions or updates on time or at all for that matter. I think the biggest issues here are the broken promises and updates to something that may never be released. Gabe would have been better off not saying anything about an update or beta release in my opinion.

The problem is Gabe takes my remarks personally even thou we all need a little bit of
communication and knowledge that he is with us at least in spirit and remembers about us, but without him being around, to tell us what is going on, the only thing we left with is to check his vital senses the only way we can by tickling his nerves. :D fastreplies

I have altogether 5 licenses. Got mail that I need to consolidate accounts. Submitted support ticket on 25 March 2009. Sent several reminders. It is now one year and the issue is still pending.
